This is a technique to add hanging wires to things like cardboard, wood rounds, or low relief sculptures. The technique is to glue wire and sandwich it with cardboard and hot glue to stay secure.
Colored Wire (electrical wire)
Glue guns / glue sticks
Small pieces of cardboard
Cut wires into 2-3in pieces (one for each artwork)
Cut cardboard into small long rectangles
Heat up glue gun
To attach wires bend the 3in wire into a rainbow shape. Place it on the back of the artwork at the top. Use the glue gun to add a small strip of hot glue to the cardboard piece. Sandwich the ends of the wire between the artwork and small cardboard piece. Push down while the glue cools to seal.
