If an artist or camper artist’s behavior makes it hard for others to feel safe, focus, or enjoy the program our goal is to guide them toward success, not punishment. Staff will use discretion based on age, developmental level, and circumstances—but this structure ensures fairness and consistency.
If an artist is not participating, interrupting, creating an unsafe environment, not listening, or using unkind words, then the teacher will:

Example: “Jordan, remember our rule is to keep hands to ourselves. Let’s use our hands for painting instead of touching others.”

If the behavior continues after a reminder, then the teacher will:

Example: “Liam, this is your warning. If you keep climbing under the table, you will take a time out.”

If the camper continues to break rules or is emotionally dysregulated, then the teacher will:

Example: “You’re having a hard time following directions right now. Let’s take 5 minutes in the lobby, we’ll find a way for you to rejoin your group.”
