🆘 Medical Emergencies: Call 911
In the case of medical emergency call 911 immediately from the office phone or cell phone:
- Loss of consciousness: if a child is unconscious or unresponsive for more than a few seconds call 911.
- Difficulty breathing: This includes any signs of respiratory distress.
- Uncontrolled bleeding: If bleeding doesn't stop after applying pressure, or if it's severe enough to fill a cup, call for help.
- Severe head, neck, or back injuries: This includes injuries falls or injuries that cause severe neck or back pain, inability to move a body part, weakness, numbness, tingling, or loss of bladder or bowel control.
- Seizures: Any seizure should be addressed immediately.
- Jerking movements of the arms and legs
- Stiffening of the body
- Loss of consciousness
