Guidelines
- Keep it kid-appropriate: no explicit lyrics, profanity, sexual content, drug/alcohol references, violence, or anything that could make families uncomfortable.
- Match the moment:
- Quiet working time: calming, simple music (instrumental/lo-fi/soft).
- High-energy moments (arrival/cleanup): fun, upbeat music if the group can handle it.
- Volume = background: if you have to raise your voice to teach, turn it down.
- Consider sensory needs: some kids find music overwhelming. If a child seems distressed (covering ears, wincing, shutting down), lower the volume, switch to something calmer, or turn it off.
- Front desk vibe: welcoming, calm, friendly—nothing too intense or distracting.
Bottom line: music is for the kids and the teachers. music should support regulation, focus, and a warm studio atmosphere—not compete with it.
