It’s time to do a studio reset! The goal is to organize everything, give the studios a deep clean and to get rid of anything we don’t need: old artwork, crusty materials, empty paint tubes etc.

Note: if there is anything that needs to be done to clean/organize that you notice that is not on this list and please take initiative to do it!

Studio Moon

• [x] Skinny wall shelves - take down artwork and objects and wipe shelf. Replace some items but make it look nice.
• [x] Material shelves - Take everything off shelves all shelves (including inspiration objects) Wipe down. Sort materials, clean out bins and put them back. Place inspiration objects back and make them look nice.
• [x] Green and Blue Storage Cabinets - Open up the storage cabinets, take everything out, wipe shelves and clean bins. Put materials back in labeled spaces.
• [x] Yellow carts - Take everything off yellow carts, wipe down and replace.
• [x] Reset materials - Test & throw out dead ones. Make sure all caps are pushed on all of the way. Empty & wash out bins.

• [x] Sort through materials on shelves, wipe down containers and throw away any crusty/unusable:

  • [x] Oil/soft pastels
• [x] Plaster trays - dump out any dry or liquid remaining plaster into trash and then rinse trays in the art sink. Dry with a towel Put in plaster box in office when dry.
• [x] Plastic Cafeteria Trays - wash / dry in art sink and return to their spots in both studios
• [x] Scissors: Collect all the scissors and wash thoroughly. Dry and return to their places.
• [x] Pencils: Sharpen all pencils in the studios- including colored pencils and white charcoal pencils- return to proper spaces.
• [x] Random materials & paper: Sort any randomly stashed materials and return to their places. Create new labels if there isn’t one on the shelf. Return random paper to the office. Throw out any broken, dead, or empty materials.
• [x] Empty Materials: Throw out any empty or nearly empty paint tubes and containers (acrylic, watercolor, tempera) Consolidate anything you can that are multiples.
• [x] Paper / plastic Cups: Return all paper/plastic cups to kitchen paper goods drawer
• [x] Scrub art sink including faucet, drying containers, and bus bins.
• [x] Scrub handprints off walls - use wall cleaner
• [ ] Reset class dividers - Rewrite class times on boards separating classes with updated times for the new series.
