Managing supplies is a key part of keeping the studio running smoothly. It’s an ongoing task that includes checking what we have, requesting things we need, receiving deliveries, and putting materials away neatly so everything is easy to find and ready.

Two Kinds of Supplies

Standard Art Supplies

Supplies & materials we always keep “in stock” at the studio. These include office supplies like paper towels and toilet paper as well as our standard art supplies. These things are mostly stored in the studios and the supply cabinet in the office.

Project Art Supplies

Special materials that we only purchase to do specific projects. These are things like wood blocks or unusual paper and are usually stored in the office.

Supply Management

Do Weekly Inventory Checks

  1. Check the studio inventory against the Standard Supply Checklist tab in the **Supply Tracker** to see what we need
  2. Update status of anything running low in the Supply Tracker to “need to order”

Request specific project materials

Ordering Supplies

Order supplies as necessary using the purchasing card.

Receiving / Unpacking Deliveries

Supply deliveries go to Jen’s house. Jen brings boxes as soon as possible to the studio and leaves them in the office.
