Corner House Studio invests deeply in original curriculum, systems, and creative experiences for families. This policy keeps it clear (and fair) that the work we build together stays protected.

What is “Work Product”?

“Work Product” is anything you create or improve as part of your job—whether solo or with the team. Examples include:

Ownership

Work Product created for CHS is owned by Corner House Studio. CHS may use, update, and build on it over time to support our programs and operations.

Where it lives

Please save Work Products in CHS systems (Notion or shared google drive using CHS accounts)—not only on personal devices or in personal accounts. If your employment ends, you must return CHS materials and stop using or sharing CHS Work Product.

Sharing

We love celebrating great teaching but we must protect our curriculum and our families’ privacy. Never publicly share CHS Work Products (lesson plans, SOPs, internal templates, marketing materials or training docs). Limited portfolio use may be allowed with written permission.

Exceptions

Pre-existing materials

If you want to use something you made before CHS (a template, lesson format, activity guide, etc.), just flag it to the Studio Manager or Owner first. You keep ownership of your pre-existing work, and if you intentionally incorporate it into CHS programming, you’re giving CHS permission to use it internally.

Work created entirely on your own time

Nothing here is meant to claim ownership of work you create entirely on your own time without CHS resources, consistent with California Labor Code §2870.
